1970 November 14 VS 1970 November 27: the relabeled Hannover tapes  updated January 2012

This si a matter that puzzeled me for quite some years after my check of some list of tapes, but thanks to a recently surfaced tape I do believe finally I have a definitive answer (hopefully!?)

For many years only the Hannover 70-11-27 gig have been listed in many of the collectors' lists of tapes, then in the 90s, for some reasons, all these tapes had been relabeled as Hamburg 70-11-14 and the date have never been questioned again.

If some of you know the reason of this please send me an email about it ...

What I can suppose is that, for some reasons, the Hannover gig was referred to have been cancelled at a certain point (I've read about that somewhere) and that consequently the matter of giving those Hannover tapes a new date brought someone to give it the date of Hamburg. This is just a supposition of me, many others could be the real reasons (???) .. anyway matter of fact I can almost certainly confirm that the tapes/cd who circulates from the 90s to nowadays with the date of Hamburg must be relabeled back as Hannover.

All thanks to the tape that Hoka kindly shared recently.

here's a list of some of the most circulating CDs labeled Hamburg 70-11-14 that should be relabeled Hannover 70-11-27:

here's part of another recorder of the Hannover 70-11-27 surfaced thanks to the Hoka tape (should be a complete recorder?):

1972 December 05 Brussels VS 1972 December 02 Saint Ouen  updated May 2011

after quite a long time I'd say there's finally some talking about it. The once known Saint Ouen audience recording of December 2 1972 is now under the spotlights thanks to the recent rebroadcast of the 1972 December 05 recording by Belgian Radio 1.

As stated before, some tape circulated in the old days labeled as being from a radio broadcast of the 1972 December 05 gig which turn out to be from the same gig as what the fans labeled Saint Ouen 1972-12-02.

The broadcast included other parts of that recording (not the same as the ones circulated on some old tapes) which are also from the same gig as the once known Saint Ouen audience tapes... after many suppositions, luckily, as a conclusion and definitive answer to this matter, came recently another recorder for this performance, definitively labeled from Vorst National 12-5 by the taper (no Sport Paleis).
these are some examples of the currently known available sources :

audience recording source 1+2 (labaled 1972 December 2 - Palais des Sports de L'ile de la Jatte, Saint Ouen)

audience recording source 1 (labaled 1972 December 1 or 2 - Palais des Sports de L'ile de la Jatte, Saint Ouen)

audience recording source 2a (labaled 1972 December 2 - Palais des Sports de L'ile de la Jatte, Saint Ouen)

audience recording source 2b (labaled 1972 December 5 - same as above)

audience recorder 2 (from the masters, labeled Vorst National, Brussels, Belgium)

radio source 1 (labeled 1972 December 5 -  Vorst National, Brussels, Belgium)

radio source 2 (labeled 1972 December 5 -  Vorst National, Brussels, Belgium) ..different contents than above.

1973 June 22  vs  1973 March 11 "the Yeeshkul-Guy" updated November 10 2003

these 2 shows were never confused one another at now, but since they are characterized by the unmistakable appearance of the Yeeshkul -Guy, famous for his performance at the Maple Leaf gig in Toronto 73, I'm worried about possible future “misunderstandings”.... (does anybody know what Yeeshkul means btw?)

on 1973 MARCH 11 - Toronto, Canada

the guy (likely taper) screams "yeeshkul!": at the end of Echoes (3 times) ; at the beginning of Obscured By Clouds ; at the beginning of Speak To Me ; at the end of Eclipse ; at the end of OoTD

on 1973 JUNE 22 - Buffalo, NY

the guy (likely taper) screams "yeeshkul!": at the end of When You're In (2 times) ; at the end of Echoes ; at the end of Money

nb: on the RoIO "Tampa" (no label) from 1973 June 29 was used the Toronto 1973 March 11 recording as filler at the beginning, that's why you can hear the Yeeshkul-guy at the beginning of OBC there!
