transfer1 : This sounded pretty nice but the left channel turned out much less amplified so I re-balanced it a bit from the stereo, sound quality was comparable but not better than the previous version in circulation known as cass[3]>cdr.
transfer2 : This time the transfer turned out great, I changed deck (same stereo / doubledeck) and I set the equalizer in the "classic" position, the sound definition (especially on the vocal parts) surpassed amazingly not only my previous transfer but also the cass>MD version around before, I just love it!!
I did nothing on the above transfers, the tape has some tics native on the original tape that I didn't remove.
NB: I got this tape as "low gen" as it actually is, although this tape was believed to be a 3rd generation copy from the masters for some time. Recent resarches revealed it to be not lower than 4th (likely right 4th or 5th gen).
This tape was previously transferred to MD and then from the MD to CD and was around labeled actually "from 3rd gen" for some time, that lineage has to be corrected as: "likely 4th gen>MD>CDR" ... there's of course some 3rd Gen copy of the master around but not this tape.
