Tape Labeled: 1975 April 13 - Cow Palace, San Francisco, CA
generation: 4th
4th Gen cassette label = TDK-SA90x2
transferred by me in October 2005 from borrowed cassette tapes with many thanks to G.G.!:
my playback deck = TEAC-W-860R
my audio card = Sound Blaster Live
recorded into HD via CEP
Side A: R&D / YGBC / SOYCD 1-5 - cut
Side B: SOYCD 1-5 - reprise / HAC / SOYCD 6-9 / STM ... TGGITS
Side C: Money ... Eclipse (cut) / Echoes.
notes:
Very nice sounding tape, sound quality is still around VG cause it's a bit lacking of deepness and sounds a bit distorted in the loud parts, but a bit better than the version from 3rd gen to me (even if just a bit)
the contents are the same as on the 3rd gen I got before apart Echoes.
I did nothing on the transfer keeping all as it is on the tape and speeding it a bit up directly on the deck cause it sounded a bit slow, still the speed isn't perfect.
About Echoes, on copies of this recorder it has been sometimes patched with the Echoes that is on copies of recorder 1, but this one must be the genuine Echoes of this date as the copy of the master of this recorder confirms, the Echoes appearing on copies of recorder 1 must be fake so but the date of it is unknown.
