notes:
hiss is still perceptible as well as some distortions, but nothing to do with
the common Osaka 8.3.72 RoIO from the 1st recorder, this is much brighter, no
compression here used.
... we have 2 very good and complete audience recordings for this gig!
this source is easily recognizable in many points but it's enough to check the
begining of Echoes, exaclty on the Waters' announcement: in this source a guy (taper
or a guy close to him) yells "woo, wooww" right after the announce.
This is surely not a perfect recording, there are some anomalies, but this
version is not touched up at least.
notes as they came with the files:
What an upgrade over the bootleg CD! This is a real beauty, very clean. The only
thing wrong with this is that it's quite bassy. The performance is rather good,
with a strange Atom Heart Mother as an encore (the band just kicks right in, no
intro.. à la Brighton January 20th). It's also much longer than the bootleg CD
version, which suffered from an incredible amount of hiss. One of the best from
early 72! I strongly recommend this.
