for long just one recorder circulated for this date in common cd-trading circles, it was an amazing surprise to find a complete recording from a different taper then, but nobody noticed there was a 3rd one?

I've found just one song  from the recorder 3 of the gig at now: Atom Heart Mother as "bonus" track (even if not specified as bonus) on the RoIO "Cold Side Of The Bow" (read RoIO notes), does exist  a complete recorder 3 out there maybe confused with one of the other recorders so?...

In Addition to all this, I recently discovered some tape, evidently copied from vinyl source, being yet from another recorder. The tape (and the LP it's sourced from) is incomplete, having just part of the Dark Side set. I have no idea if it might be from the same recorder as the AHM track on the "Cold Side Of The Bow" RoIO of course. So we have either 3 or 4 recorders to this point, 2 of which are way incomplete but almost certainly coming from complete or "more" complete recordings ... if there's no 2 without 3,  sometimes it seems that there's even a chain reaction, I actually found even a 5th recorder. Because of the difference in contents it's not possible to say if rec.3 and rec.4 might be from the same taper and for the same reason it isn't possible to say if rec. 5 and rec. 4 are actually from the same one (if recorder 4 isn't recorder 3) .... this is what I'd like to find out!

here are some of the versions I checked of these recorders:

recorder 1 - complete - is the one used for the common RoIOs often entitled "Osaka 8.3.72" or "Osaka 1972" or just untitled; there are several fantapes around from this recorder, like this Low Gen (complete); Mind that some versions/copies have ASOS added from another recording, exactly from 71-8-9, like this truly nice LowGen (incomplete) or the HL's "Fourth Eclipsed Night" (HL593/594) that is also totally mislabeled as 72.3.9

recorder 2 - complete - is the lately surfaced master and the clone of this released by the Sirene japanese label entitled "Darkest Moon"; this came labeled 72-03-09 for some reasons...

recorder 3 is the Atom Heart Mother track put as "bonus" on the fanrelease "Cold Side Of The Bow" (1972-03-13)

recorder 4 (but might be recorder 3) is the incomplete Dark Side set present on some japanese LP (unknown title and label).. I transferred it from  this tape.

recorder 5 (but might be same recorder as recorder 4, if recorder 4 isn't recorder 3!) is rare to find, I found it only on one tape inluding OOTD /CWTAE / Echoes /AHM, AHM is NOT the same AHM recorder as recorder 3 and it isn't recorder 1 or recorder 2, might be the second set of the above recorder 4 but it isn't possible for me to check this for the difference in contents. This came labeled originally as 71.8.9 for some reasons! after a few years I transferred this tape I also got an sound upgrade of this source thanks to the transfer from tapes of another collector, with the exact same contents as the tape I transferred but sounding like a low generation tape

recorder 6 (but might be same recorder as recorder 4, as also recorder 3!)

this is only Echoes in the Sigma bootleg "Missing Pieces", only this song is in the bootleg and is not the same recorder as recorder 1 or recorder 3 or recorder 5, may be the same recorder as recorder 3 or 4 but those have no Echoes in the other versions that I found, so it's impossible to state)

unique distinctive points

recorder 1 (complete recorder)  is easily recognizable from  the guy who whistles short-but-loud a couple of times near to the mic during STM.

recorder 2 (complete recorder) is easily recognizable from  the guy (taper) who says "wooh" soon after Waters whispers "this is called Echoes""

recorder 3 (only AHM) is easily recognizable from  the "wooo wooo" someone around the taper yells while Waters greets the audience at the very end of AHM

recorder 4 - or recorder 3? (Dark Side Set from STM to U&T only) is easily recognizable from the laughings of the taper (or someone near to the recorder) at the beginning (on STM) and from the evident cut almost certainly provoked by the taper before the singing starts on Time....

recorder 5 - might be recorder 4 ... if the recorder 4 above is really recorder 3 (OOTD /CWTAE / AHM / Echoes) is easily recognizable from the coughing of the taper (or someone near to the recorder) soon after Waters greets the audience at the very end of Echoes

recorder 6 (only Echoes) easy recognizable as the taper coughs near to the mic around minute 2:15 into the song

2 recorders?:

only one recorder is in general circulation for this date, The most common version of this recording around is the boot "Echoes From Osaka"; fantapes are around too in a nice SQ, like this 3rdGen or this very nice 4thGen; it  includes the Dark Side set + OOTD + CWTAE + Echoes ... Set The Controls is supposed to have been performed but is not in the recording in circulation, while in the bootleg "Missing Pieces" there's A Saucerful Of Secrets dated 72.3.9 which sounds to be genuine; assuming it's a Japanese date this isn't definitely either the ASOS performed on March 6 or March 8 (the only other 2 Japan dates of which we have recordings with ASOS), if this ASOS is genuine then it's probably from a different recorder than "Echoes From Osaka" too.
