notes:
said to come directly from a copy of the masters, this tape has the nicest sound
quality for this recorder of this gig so far.
notes as they came
with the files:
Lineage: Master/1st Gen Recorder 2 > HDD > FLAC 8 > Audacity (joined) > Traders
Little Helper > FLAC 8 > You!
Transfered at CD quality, as there was nothing there to warrant a 48Khz
transfer.
This is the straight rip from the tape with repeated audience noises and all.
Notes on the performance:
This is a great performance, especially for those who favour the more
experimentive side of the Floyd, the effects are
very clear and prevailant. One of these Days, On the Run, StCftHotS, Careful
with that Axe, Eugene and Any Colour You Like
really stand out. Personally, this is one of my favourite dates from all of
1973, and I would recommend this complete
version to anyone! There is audience chatter throughout, and it is sometimes
distracting. I don't know what
makes me love this concert so much, but I think it was a great mix between old
and new, and the boys were certainly on
fire that night! There is a cut within echoes, but it is very quick and barely
noticeable. I have joined the concert into
one long FLAC. There are minor problems with the tape, which I intend to fix in
the remaster.
Anyone wanna make artwork?
Thanks:
- A_L, for doing the transfer, and being generally supportive :)
- Arthur Werblun, the source for this wonderful tape!
Peace
