setlist: Obscured by Clouds / When You're In / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Careful with tha Axe, Eugene / Echoes / The Dark Side Of The Moon / One of These Days

UPDATE: the date of this show seems incorrect, strange enough nobody reported something like this before. here follows the report as written on the recent "Echoes" book by G. Povey. See also the prints on the ticket above ...

from "Echoes" by Glenn Povey:

Saturday 16 June: The opening night of the tour was rescheduled to a previously held "rain-date" on 18 June due to severe inclement weather.

Monday 18 June: Amusement Business reported that: "Pink Floyd overcame a rain-out and further downpours on the rain date to set a record gross at the Roosevelt Stadium where 22,113 fans contributed to the $110,565 gross box office with tickets at $5 each. The Floyd date was initially set for June 16, but was called off at 4pm, with several thousand fans in the stands. On the rain date, the rains came down untill about 2pm with a full stop about 4pm. At 8pm the group went on stage and played two one-hour and 15 minutes sets until 10.45pm. All but 500 of the sold tickets sold in advance. Date had a potential of 25,000 audience. During the performance, a 7ft airplane crashed on stage from its harbor in the stands, as one of several stage effects employed by the Pink Floyd"

2 recorders are in general circulation for this quite electrified gig; audiece very excited and firecrackers exploding all around.

recorder 1: the most common one, this is complete with almost all tuneups cut and OBC and CWTAE fading in, some versions are also missing ACYL; no longer versions circulated so far; versions from this recorder are: "Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun" (fanproduced, around untitled too, missing ACYL) and the JFG's untitled version supposed from a 3rd generation tape (has ACYL) + the various fantapes and respective CD transfers; like this nice one from very low gen or this other low gen from different source/copy of the masters, recently a version said to be directly from the master copy is around too

recorder 2: this is a bit more rare to find, it's incomplete, missing the whole 2nd half of the second set (cuts on Money), it offers more tuneups/audience portions and more music too anyway (OBC doesn't fade in / Speak To Me lasts about 4 minutes); these are a couple of version from a supposed

1st generation copy of the master.

Recently an edited version surfaced from Low generation Reels including a partial One Of These Days too, the contents of the actual master are not known for sure so far.

here there are just a couple of points where to recognize the 2 recorders, in addition to the above notes that are already more than enough to avoid to confuse them I guess:

STC: on recorder 1  at the beginning of STC a guy near to the recorder says "Oh Wow Set The Ceontrols!, oh yeah!"; at the very end a guy (taper?) laughs and yells "yeeeea"; on recorder 2 a guy (taper?) talks and whistles at the very end.

Speak To Me: on recorder 2 there are guys near to the taper talking during the heartbeats, one guy says clearly" Where are we going after this?" ... then a lady talks, while the audience claps and the firecrackers explode always during the heartbeats, she says clearly "where is it/him?..."; recorder 1 on some versions it's short but on the original recording it starts from the beginning of the hearbeats and here you can hear people very near to the recording chatting and 2 ladies lauging and talking (one lady in the back yells "shut up men")
