notes:
mislabeled as Bristol 13 December 1974 this is really just a different version
than the 'common' Bristol 14 December 1974 recording (same recorder).
Not from the same copy usually used as source (the T source) but from another
copy of the master having ACYL complete (no inside cut); Many intermissions are
here missing, that's wh the difference in tot-length; here the SQ varies ..
reaches the VG+ easily in parts... other parts (like Echoes) are very inferior
to the rest.
notes as they came with the files:
From „British Winter Tour 1974”. Of course, contrary to the title and cover,
this show is from 14 Dec 1974, not from 13. The same recorder, as other
circulating shows from this date. A little worse sound quality. But, starange, "Any
Colour You Like" is complete, without a cut! Well, many collectors believe, that
this cut comes from the master tape. Maybe, but surely one day in past this
master tape was complete.

Raving And Drooling
ROGER:
Raving and drooling I fell on his neck with a scream
He had a whole lot of terminal shock in his eyes
That's what you get for pretending the rest are not real
Babbling and snapping at far away flies
He will zig zag his way back through memories of boredom and pain
Raving and drooling I fell on his neck with a scream
He was caught in the middle between the illusion of safery in numbers
And being brought down to his knees
[ROGER: Thank you. >< [...] can hear it. Nervous tonight. What? [...] The
problem is [...] This is another new tune, and it's called 'You've Got To Be
Crazy'.]
You've Got To Be Crazy
DAVE:
Gotta be crazy, you gotta be crazy
Gotta keep your children and your car clean
Gotta keep drinking, you gotta keep fit
You gotta keep smiling, you gotta eat shit
You gotta be small to be a big shot
You gotta eat meat to stay at the top
You gotta be trusted, you gotta tell lies
Gotta be able to narrow your eyes
You gotta believe, they've gotta believe you
Gotta appear easy to see through
Gotta be sure you look good on the TV
Gotta resemble a human being
You gotta keep one eye over your shoulder
It's gonna get harder as you get older
Gotta fly south and hide in the sand
Gotta forget that you're gonna get cancer
Ohhhhhooooooooooooo
Ahhhhhaaaaaaaooooooaaaaaahhhh
Ahhhhhaaaahhhhh
Ohhhhooooohhhhh
ROGER:
And when you lose control
You'll reap the harvest that you sown
And as the fear grows
ROGER/DAVE:
The bad blood slows and turns to stone
ROGER:
And it's too late to lose the weight
You used to need to throw around
ROGER/DAVE:
So have a good drown
As you go down
All alone
Dragged down by the stone
DAVE:
You gotta be sure, you gotta be quick
Gotta divide the tame from the sick
Gotta keep all of us docile and fit
You gotta keep everyone buying this shit
Gotta get you, started early
Processed by the time you're thirty
Work like fuck 'til you're sixty five
And then your time's your own until you die
Gotta admit to a lot of confusion
Pain in the head is the child of collusion
Gotta resist this creeping malaise
You gotta believe in a way you get out of the maze
You, you just keep on pretending
You can tell a sucker from a friend
But you still raise the knife
To stranger, lover, friend and foe alike

Dragged down by the stone ><
[ROGER: This is, here's another new song, it's about Syd Barrett and it's called
'Shine On You Crazy Diamond'.]
Shine On You Crazy Diamond
ROGER:
Remember when you were young
You shone like the sun
DAVE/RICK:
Shine on you crazy diamond
ROGER:
Now there's a look in your eyes
Like black holes in the sky
DAVE/RICK:
Shine on you crazy diamond
ROGER:
You were caught in the crossfire
Of childhood and stardom
Blown on the steel breeze
Come on you target for faraway laughter
Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!
You reached for the secret too soon
You cried for the moon
DAVE/RICK:
Shine on you crazy diamond
ROGER:
Threatened by shadows at night
And exposed in the light
DAVE/RICK:
Shine on you crazy diamond
ROGER:
Well you wore out your welcome
With random precision
Rode on the steel breeze
Come on you raver, you seer of visions
Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner and shine!
Nobody knows where you are
How near or how far
DAVE/RICK:
Shine on you crazy diamond
ROGER:
Pile on many more layers
And I'll be joining you there
DAVE/RICK:
Shine on you crazy diamond
ROGER:
And we'll bask in the shadow
Of yesterday's triumph
Sail on the steel breeze
Come on you boy child
You winner and loser
Come on you miner for truth and delusion, and shine!
