Cover says 1977 May 7 - Anaheim Stadium, Anaheim, California - Mr. Waters is
supposed to shout 30-10 during the Anaheim gig but there’s no trace of numbers
in this recording, neither hidden through his raving cries …
I actually got this show as 1977 May 7 - Anaheim Stadium, Anaheim, California,
but this is obviously not the Anaheim May 7 performance; there are just 2 things
to guess :
1. California Pigs has really the Anaheim May 7 performance and the one that's
roaming around is really not California Pigs. 2. the RoIO California Pigs was
mislabelled (more probable)
in any case .... this is the Frankfurt January 27 show.
from the alternate *complete* recording (different than Frankfurt 1.27.77 -
Welcome To The Machine).
Excellent sound quality; speed seems at times a bit slow... I don't know why but
the speed problems are always detectable on Pigs ... bah ...
some editing inaccuracies that might have been avoided (if not due to a real
problem of the source) : the 2 SYOCD fade out, 1-5 before the sax solo, SOYCD
6-9 near to the end.
