This tape sounds more or less like the one I transferred before, still a VG- / VG if you're in a good mood...
but there's still some difference of course:
1. this tape has the full intro/soundscape before Sheep, about 1 minute more than on the other tape I transferred ... the rest, as far as I was able to catch is 100% the same.
2. The sound is crispier here, I didn't need to put the equalizer in a different position that the usual to avoid hiss to be too present and turned out pretty nice with a nice definition on the highs; some parts are on this tape a bit more rough than on the other one though, maybe right because I played them with a different position of the equalizer on the stereo, but still this tape is definitely crispier to me and more defined, evidence of this is the fact I notice here for the first time how the taper (or someone near to the mic) sings U&T together with Gilmour at the beginning.
3. there are not sound fluctuations in this tape, in the other one there were little fluctuations at the beginning of the recording; talking about fluctuations there's to notice (if I didn't state it before) how this recording has different volume levels, the first set is pretty quiet, with some change of volume level here and there due probably to the taper moving the recorder (??); the most noticeable change of volume is maybe the one on U&T; U&T is more amplified either for a change of the recorder volume or for a change of position by the taper during the gig or can be also because it was copied from the master at a louder volume on tapes, this I can't answer to, but it’s this way in all the copies I checked….
looking at the waveform this rise of the volume is evident, the waveform has a sorta funnel-shape.
5. the tape used to run a bit fast, at least on my stereo, so I speedcorrected it at the best of my abilities,
Apart that I did nothing to the transferred files, I just joined the tapesides and indexed the songs for the cd version.

haha charade you are!

Waters shouts 22 (aaw-aww) on Pigs (3DO) at 11:52 - 3rd verse (to me it sounds rather as a "twenty-two-one", not exactly a "twenty-two")
