DR notes:
A phenomenal audience recording from February 28, 1980 at the Nassau Coliseum. The level of clarity and detail of this source is nothing short of astonishing, especially considering this is a Pink Floyd show. All the instruments are captured just about perfectly with nice, solid bottom end and a good, crisp top end. This is definitely the best recording of the tour, aside from the official live release. Roger's introduction for "Run Like Hell" on this night was: "Do you like our pig? What? He's not a very nice pig, but he's a BIG PIG! This is a song for all the paranoids in the audience. It's called Run Like Hell. Home piggy, Home!" "Run Like Hell" has a rather interesting sounding bass line during the running sequence. A special thanks to Ephraim for lending us the 1st gen source used for this production. No hiss or noise reduction was used in this production. As with all Digital Reproductions releases, this is for free trade or blank trade only! Please do not buy, sell or distribute for profit. Help keep the spirit of trading alive and well.

additional notes from a post appearing on sharingthegroove (March 2004):
here's the story about the source used for the DR's "Home Piggy, Home" (HPH).
about 18 months ago Digital Dan of DR gets contacted by the owner of the 1st gen tape to remaster it. the source is a great guy who obtained the 1st gen tape from the taper back in the '80's. his lineage checked out.
DDan asked me to do the A>D conversion since my cassette deck's capability is far superior to others. the tapes were sent to me directly by the source.
i transferred the cassettes to DAT and sent my master DAT to DDan, which was shelved for few months due to other projects.
i'm a member of Harvested and Digital Lunatics, which are excellent PF/RW trading groups. i've met some great folks who are very knowledgeable in the RoIO world of PF/RW. so after some digging and asking some questions, i obtained a MCass > DAT > SHN copy of the show.
i told DDan that the master lineage is available; however, due to DDan's commitment to the original source guy, he remastered the 1st gen source.
that's the story behind the 1st gen remaster and hope that it answers your questions.

well, since i've cut my ties with DR due to various differences, i don't see a future collaboration.
i may remaster the Master source one of these days if i can find some breathing room between all the traveling i do and taping.
with that said, the Master source isn't difficult to come by within the PF/RW community. to be honest, i probably don't even know where my shn discs are any more. it's been -that- long since i gave it a listen.
Home Piggy, Home is great sounding especially with the Nak > DAT conversion, so i'm not too motivated to take on another remastering project.
