cass[?] - TDK SA-60x2 > playback deck Philips (FCD485) > SoundBlasterLive > CEP > wav@48KHz
sideA: ITF? ... Mother
sideB: GBS .... GCW
sideC: Hey You ... ITF (beginning)
sideD: ITF (from the beginning) > The Trial + OTW (fake from different
date)
approx. tot length of sode ABC = 120minutes (runs slow)
notes:
From the circulated audience source of the gig, this tape is a nice little upgrade to my previous CD version of this recorder.
The recording is still pretty poor if compared to other amazing sources available for this tour, but this at least is a decent version of this recorder. The sound quality is really better then the other version circulated, with no bass rumbling and an overall more distinct stereo definition and vocal/music clearness, although there is pretty marked hiss and some volume fluctuations (actually drops on channels) etc...
The tapes used to run very slow, I had to speed them up of a 10% and maybe the speed isn't right yet, my other version sounds faster indeed, but a bit too fast to me; I chose the speed I though was the most decent one.
About the contents:
First of all there's an integral intro, longer than on the commonly circulated version (there it was edited a bit). The other edits (reported below) are here like they also were in the
commonly circulated version, but here I left them evident, in the other version they were "fixed".. I prefer not to fix points that are clearly "cuts":
- There's a little cut between Mother and GBS due to change of tape side, only little intermissions are missing, I've left the cut noticeable. Same between another couple of songs, like between CN and TSMGO (very evident cut)
- Joined 2 different cuts into OOMT:
1. the first occurred without any particular reason, after "And I can feel one of my turns coming on. I" > stop/silence > "feel cold as razor blade..."; I just removed the stop/silence and turned out joined perfectly without anything noticeable or anything missing.
2. the second one occurs after "Would you like something to eat?" > stop > reprised on "learn to fly?. Would you like to see me try? ...."; missing essentially "Would you like to (learn to fly)" ... I left the cut untouched and well noticeable.
- Joined side C & D at the best I could, the 2 tapesides sound differently, being side D slightly more hissy. So I found the exact point to join the beginning of ITF but the point turned out noticeable because of this difference of SQ, it's at min 0:15 inside the ITF track.
ITF has other cuts too:
1. right after the announcer a little piece is missing (cut left untouched)
2. after Water's sings: "...and another with spots. If I had my way" > there's a cut, it's missing "I'd have all of you shot"> ... the song is reprised soon after that.
3. I removed some seconds repeated soon after ITF, before the Waters' intro to RLH. (point of junction is not noticeable on the cds)
Last but not least: OTW is here not genuine from this date, it wasn't genuine in the
commonly circulated version too (same fake song) so I assume there's no tape with the genuine encore in circulation, or it was even not taped at all by this taper...
I didn't include the Fake song in my CDs, making the recording stop at the end of The Trial, before the patch starts.

before RLH Waters says "Do you still like the pig? He's an old pig, but he's still a big pig. This next tune is for all the paranoids in the audience. It's called 'Run Like Hell,' 'Run Like Hell!' It's called 'Run Like Hell!"
