notes:
from another recorder than my other version, this sounds nicer
but it's not 100% complete. This recorder is easily recognizable (apart from the
missing part) right on the announcement there after "we're gonna have a fine
show this evening" you can herar the taper moving the mic; in the other
recording there's a lady laughing in the back at this point.
MoLM notes:
Second night of five final Wall concerts held at this venue.
One of the last few times the lineup of Waters, Gilmour, Mason and Wright ever
perform together.
Speed-Corrected and Remastered by Flynn and Danalog of Man of Leisure Music.
SHN<WAV-CDR-RT707-ART341EQ-CDR770RW-EAC>SHN
Clean, but VERY fast raw copy sourced by Steve Blank. Remastering included
getting the correct pitch [lots of effort there], and just a bit of tweaking to
pull out a bit more sound and reduce hiss. The left channel was
also lifted a bit to provide better balance. This show has very few audience
intrusions of any kind, and the band puts on quite a good show. Mother, Young
Lust, Hey You, Comfy, Run Like Hell -- all great versions.
Technical difficulties apparently delay the start of "In the Flesh" during the
second set, so the "Announcements" last nearly ten minutes.
This may also explain the fact that "Outside the Wall" is missing from the
source copy.
I think the taper may very well have run out of tape!
So, for now, there's a 10-second fade at the End of The Trial. I've thrown in a
"bonus track" of sorts to fill in for the original "Outside the Wall."
Roger, ever the 'comedian,' says just before Run Like Hell that "we'd say we
were sorry about the delay, but we're just not that kind of band."
