From the second recorder of the gig, these are tapes I got back in May 2005; not an excellent recording (at least this tape doesn't sound like it), surely inferior to Recorder 1, but still so nice to get to complete a collection.
There are evident sound fluctuations all along the tape although the performance is clearly listenable for the great part of it. The sounds tends to "swash" a bit on the loud parts espacially and on some parts the music gets a bit covered by tape noise, or whatever, when it doesn't happen the recording reaches its peaks of better quality (a full VG+).
About the hiss, I tried to find a wise compromise between hiss and volume to have the loudest amplification possible with a not marked hissy background, and all turned out nice, exception done for those loud parts mentioned above.
No post processing have been applied of course, this is all I did to the recording after the transfer into my PC:
-Joined sideA & sideB editing out few secs of the beginning of DLMN repeated between the 2 tapesides, the point of junction isn't noticeable.
-Joined sideB & sideC also editing out few secs of the Waters' intro to RLH repeated between the 2 tapesides, the point of junction is here noticeable since tape2 (sideC) had a different amplification than tape1 (sideB), it is at min 0:06 into the RLH track.
There's a little portion cut inside The Trial (near to the end at min 5:14), the song soon goes on with a little fade/in, that's this way on the tape and I left it untouched as there isn't any repetition or stuff, there's really a little portion missing there.
This recording is totally missing the MC intro at the beginning, the first set also cuts as soon as GBC is over and the second restarts right from the first notes of Hey You.
To recognize this recorder is enough to check the very beginning of Hey You, where a lady clearly talks and laughs, she goes on talking together with other guys during almost all the song too.
At last it's also nice to mention about the filler on tape2 sideC, consisting in 3 parts:
1. 1980-01-05 Los Angeles (FM) interview to R. Waters by Tommy Vance. BBC1, Friday Rock Show via telephone - min 9:48 (I transferred this into CD too and can be used as filler on these CDs on request)
2. POTW from the US 8-track cartridge (common quality)
3. 1969-07-10 Moonhead from some BBC Omnibus TV broadcast (common quality)
