1971 June 26: With Great Joy We Bring You The Pink Floyd!

upadated March 2008

setlist: Careful With That Axe Eugene / Cymbaline / Set the Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful of Secrets / The Embryo

3 tapers are in general circulation for this date: 2 of them are complete but one has  more tuneups, the 3rd one is way incomplete as it seems.

Some versions (also on cassette) have the 2 recorders together (recorder 1 filled with recorder 2), here are some of the versions I checked:
recorder 1: versions from this recorder are: the famous LP "The Early Tours 70-71" and all the CDR versions sourced from the vinyl (ASOS on some versions is not from this date, it's from 71-6-5 Berlin!); the fan-produced RoIO "Amsterdamse Bos" (filled with recorder 2); the several fantapes like this 1st generation copy (contents are more or less the same as on the LP) or this LowGen one, the newly surfaced version called "We Want More" (LPP) having Careful+Cymbaline from recorder 3.
recorder 2: this was rarer to find in the past but was lately bootlegged a lot, RoIOs from this recorder are: "Amsterdam Free Concert" (fan-produced); "At Free Concert" (Ayanami, claimed master clone but shorter than other releases and clearly NR'ed); the various fantapes like this 1st generation clone or the version included in the "Reeling In Pink Floyd" series (tape1)
recorder 3: this surfaced on the version called "We Want More" (LPP) having Careful+Cymbaline + the rest being from recorder 1, sourced from a collector tape Pinkrabbit1's tape; fantapes are around, like this 1stG
en Clone or this 2nd Gen; recently this recorder was also included in a weed-project called "Reeling In Pink Floyd" (tape29); all the versions in circulation of this recorder include only Careful and Cymbaline, impossible to state if it includes more so far... some versions of this recorder on tape has less intermissions like this other 2ndGen.

points of distinction:
CWTAE:

recorder 1 starts from the announcer and has no tuneups at the end.

recorder 2 starts with the audience talking (a guy whistles clearly some tune) followed by the announcer, there are long tuneups at the end too;

recorder 3 starts with the announcer, a lady talks in the back on the first notes, the same lady talks with a man very near to the recorder during the performance too
Cymbaline:

recorder 1  you can hear a woman laughing at the very beginning, at the end some guys near to the taper yell "wooo" before Waters says "Thank You", there are no tuneups then.

recorder 2 on the very first notes the audience go on talking, there are long tuneups at the end;

recorder 3 starts from the very beginning and finishes at the very end (a guy near to the taper says a quick "aw" before the tape cuts)...
STC:

recorder 1  I do have The Embryo after Cymbaline on the first generation copy, but the right setlist is the one on recorder 2... anyway, on Set The Controls at the end the recording cuts and there's a portion with the audience clapping and yelling "we want more, we want more...", then it cuts again and Saucerful recorder 2 at the end of the song the taper or someone very near to him yells "ohee-oee-oee-oee", there are very long tuneups then;
ASOS:

recorder 1  this song is placed at the end and stops soon after Waters says "goodbye"

recorder 2 there's a lady laughing at the very beginning and then someone near to the taper says "brrrrr"; at the end, after Waters says "goodbye" the audience yells "more, more more..." then there are long tuneups before The Embryo;
The Embryo:

on recorder 2 this is placed at the end and should have been actually the encore, since there's a long portion at the end where the announcer tells the audience that the Pink Floyd have to catch a plane and greets and thanks the audience; all this portion is not on recorder 1, where the song is always present after Cymbaline on copies. Note that the ASOS included some versions  doesn't come from this concert, it's from Berlin June 5 1971!
