notes:
I knew this copy would have turned out surprising,
If not about the sound quality (pretty comparable to the sound quality of the legitimate 1stGen copy I got) it is about the contents.
This, as all the copies in circulation, has some little edits (looking at the original position of the songs into the tapes here you can also understand why) but here there are some pieces missing in other copies, and they are "important ones":
1. about 50 seconds of audience more before SOYCD 1-5 missing in all the copies I checked, missing also in the amazing LowGen I got some time ago (that remains maybe the most complete copy in circulation anyway)
2. SOYCD 6-9 is here complete! no cuts at the end, It's complete also on the LowGen I got time ago, but there the last piece is very distorted, that made me think that the common copies in circulation were missing that piece because of that problem and that's maybe true, but the problem isn't in the master as this copy reveals, on this copy SOYCD 6-9 is complete and without any distortion.
So great to have got this copy so, really worth it!
Now some comments about my mastering of the tapes:
1. since several songs were in the wrong position in the tape I moved them to have the original setlist of the show, it wasn't really that easy, but not so hard either. I did my best to join the songs but because of some cuts some have evident points of junction:
- moved Pigs after POTW2.
- joined first POTW1 with Sheep (the point of junction is noticeable, since there's a cut between the 2 songs that I found in all the other versions I checked too) and then with Dogs (here the point isn't noticeable but maybe I left a couple of applauses repeated, I didn't know how to do better, again, it isn't so noticeable).
- moved Us And Them at the end of the recording keeping some audience part at the beginning that was at the end of Money too, I left that as on the tapes.
- removed some annoying tapecut-noises leaving all the evident stops of the recording noticeable though, actually I did my best to index the songs making them finish/start in the exact points of the cuts/stops of the recording.
2. I corrected the speed, it was all a bit slow to me, at least it played slow on my tape deck. I also did my best to correct the speed on Pigs, that was, on the contrary, very fast (as on all the versions of this recorder). The song could not be speedcorrected in 1 step only, I had to make 2 speedcorrections since the second part of the song was terribly faster compared to the already fast first part, so I made first a general speedcorrection of the song and then I also slowed the second part with a gradual correction from 100% to 108% to get the most correct speed possible. Listening to the song it still doesn't run at the perfect speed, there are still some up&down's but at least Waters doesn't sing like a Chipmunk.
Nothing else have been done, apart the several listenings to enjoy this wonderful show!

haha charade you are!

here the "In The Flesh" world tour begins! and here the Waters' game starts too ...
Waters shouts his first number here > 1 on Pigs - 3rd verse at min. 13:40
