notes:
Raw rip from genuine low gen tapes labeled originally Antwerpen February 20.
After having checked the amazing 3rd gen I recently got of this recorder (also
that mislabeled as Antwerpen) I remembered of these old cds that I had for long;
I forgot to have them for some reason ... maybe, also in that case, my
disappointment in finding these Antwerpen tapes mislabeled didn't make me go
through the checking accurately.
I'm now surprised to find these cds actually almost as great as the 3rd gen I
recenlty got.
There are still some edits not present in the masters, occurred during the
copies (not the same edits as on the 3rdGen), but still the sound is sooo
crystalline and really powerful ... in spite of the hiss in the back. These
tapes were transferred via CD recorder at a louder volume than the 3rd gen but
the quality is really comparable. The 3rd gen reveals to be bit smoother (and
with less hiss), standing the loudest parts better. |
haha charade you are!
Waters does not reveal any number during the gig, but you can
notice a bass tune instead of a number on the 3rd verse of Pigs (exactly a scale
of 5 notes). |
