Tape Labeled: 1977 February 23 - Pavillion de Paris, Paris, France
generation: ?
transferred by me in March 2005 from borrowed cassette tapes with many thanks to T!:
my playback deck = Philips (FCD485)
my audio card = Sound Blaster Live
recorded into HD via Cool Edit Pro
notes:
When I transferred this tape some time ago I considered it somewhat inferior to the CDs I had before, even if I noticed the tapes to be amazingly longer, actually the longest version I checked with a so nice intro/soundscape on Sheep.
Relistening to this old transfer I changed my mind about the SQ , it isn't inferior to my old cds at all, actually there's even more instrument definition and sound prospective.
I think that my transfer turned out actually the best complete version I have for this recording. Hissier than the incomplete 2nd gen (source 2) but having really nothing to envy that overall.
I didn't keep the tapesides order and didn't take any scan of the tapes, saving the transfer all in 1 big file back in March 2005, so the usual description of the tapesides isn't here included. There are some little inside cuts on some songs (few secs), evident on Pigs (there are 2) and on SOYCD 6-9, but I can't remember if they mean the tapes ended/started at those points. This isn't so essential anyway. As usual I left evident the tapecuts where there was no possibility of merging the pieces in a perfect way.
The speed varies a bit, maybe a bit slower than on other versions, but it sounds quite right to me; sound quality varies a bit too especially in coincidence with the cuts, but nothing so noticeable.

haha charade you are!

Waters says 14 on Pigs (3 Different Ones) 3rd verse, at min 12:44 on this version.
