notes:
This recorder seems to be incomplete, missing
Sheep, POTW part1, the beginning of Dogs and the encore; also there are some "flips"
during the recording especially near to the end/beginning of the songs, also
some little drop-outs, evident at the end of SOYCD 1-5 (part one) and near to
the beginning of SOYCD 6-9.
This transfer is from unknown gen, but the recording itself seems to be not so
good, the taper seems to be quite far from the stage.
The tape had side A less amplified than side B, so I just gave more volume to
side A transferring it (from the stereo); the whole tape seems also to lack a
bit of high freq., I managed to give power to the music, and consequently the
hiss is a bit evident. The recording is not bassy or muffled to my ears, turned
out quite crispy, always considering the overall not very good sound quality
anyway. Even if the taper was nearer to the stage or there was no hiss the
recording would turn out covered by audience noise in any case (pretty "excited"
crowd).
SOYCD 1-5 is split in the 2 tape sides, I joined it, the point of junction is at
minute 11:16 ; the fade in/out between the 2 parts is on the tape.
also I indexed the tracks following the various points of the "pauses-noises"
between the songs, so you can hear the "pause-flip" noise at the beginning of
most of the tracks; I don't know if these are pauses on the original master
provoked by the taper or if these are pauses provoked later, copying the tape,
but I love to leave anything that's on the tape, I don't like to remove the
pause flips, whatever the cause of them would be. |
