1981 February 13

setlist: the usual one

Waters on Run Like Hell: "Thank you very much. Are you having a good time? Do you like our pig? Yeah, we like him. Go away pig, we've seen enough of you. We're gonna play a song soon, for all the clappers in the audience. Now you can all have a jolly good clap, to this one. It's a little dance tune and it's called 'Run Like Hell.'"

recorders known: few ones (surely over 1)

recorders in circulation on CD: 1;  "from the master" (prolly from 2ndGen copy) ; 1stGen copy (diff. source than the other one)

1981 February 14

setlist: the usual one

Waters on Run Like Hell: "You leave our pig alone. (German accent) We have ways of making you clap and this is one of them - called "Run Like Hell"

recorders known: few ones (prolly over 2)

recorders in circulation on CD: 2;

recorder 1: the very common one is the excellent Zeus release, maybe directly from masters;

recorder 2: other recorders are on fantapes like this that I call rec.2 from USA collector fantapes, supernice one! but with few edits, see notes...

recorder 3: on fantapes not digitalized yet

recorder 4: only the first half of the show (the second part is lost) this has been made digitalize from the Masters by the taper in 2010

on recorder 2: the taper or someone near to the mic, comments on the first notes of ITF at the beginning (the intro is missing), he clearly says "one, two" on the mic as soon as the song starts and goes on with enthusiastic comments. On Hey You, the taper seems to move his equipment, or generally move a lot provoking several noises during the song.

1981 February 15

setlist: the usual one

Waters on Run Like Hell: "Thank you very much. Yeah, wow, wow, get down. Do you like our pig? Home piggy. This next tune is one you can all clap your hands to. (inaudible...) called 'Run Like Hell.'"

recorders known: few ones (prolly over 3)

recorders in circulation on CD: 2;

recorder 1: the once common one is around from fantapes like this, that's the most common version (also used for the WWRM series); I've also checked this nicer 2ndGen.

recorder 2: recently surfaced version from master cass thanks to Watman!

recorder 3: on fantapes. Nobody Home (has just the beginning) then it cuts and restarts from after the beginning of Vera (Vera is missing the beginning as well so); Run Like Hell is cut too; cuts before the end and restarts from WFTW. On WFTW there's also a little piece of recording missing, I'm not able to state if these missing pieces are on the actual master of this recorder too.

hard to find points of distinction on recorder 1 cause the recording isn't really good, the taper is quite far from the stage as it seems and also the audience sounds a bit silent, which is strange, maybe it was recorded from the balcony?; luckily on the second taper there is a lotta talking and there are people clearly very excited around the taper ...So if you've both the souces it would be very easy to recognize them, if you've just one you can orientate by the sound quality, if your version is bad it's almost certainly recorder 1; mind also that rec.1 has no MC intro and rec.2 cuts before OTW is over.

MC intro

recorder 1: no MC intro, starts from ITF?

recorder 2: starts when the MC is already talking and there's a guy near to the taper clearly yelling "wwooho"; people near to the taper talk and yell during the announcement

ABITW part2 / Mother

recorder 1: during Mother there are people talking in the back, and someone near to the taper coughs few times

recorder 2: when ABITW part2 is over the taper himself yells "woo...yhahoo ... Spitze! ..woo"" and then he laughs, it's more than clear of course, it's right on the mic!

Goodbye Cruel World

recorder 1: a guy on the taper's back laughs when the song starts, it's not right on the mic but very distinguishable.

recorder 2: a guy near to the taper yells a lot when the song starts, the recording cuts as soon as the song is over and you can hear a guy yelling something that sounds like "thank you??" soon after the last "goodbye"

Outside The Wall

recorder 1: the song is complete and someone near to the taper talks as soon as the song begins

recorder 2: the song is cut before the end (the taper had to leave...)

1981 February 16

setlist: the usual one

Waters on Run Like Hell: "Thank you very much. Welcome to the Westfalenhalle. Do you like our pig? Oh God! What a relieve! He's going... going away now. Bye bye piggy. Say 'bye bye to the piggy!' Bye bye piggy! We usually have a song sheet for this one so you can sing along, but unfortunately the mechanism's broken tonight, so, only the ones in the audience who know the words will be able to join in; and the rest can CLAP! It's called 'Run Like Hell.' Wait for it...wait for it...wait for it..."

recorders known: few ones (surely over 2)

recorders in circulation on CD:

recorder 1: untitled, complete ; partial lowGen

recorder 2: this is also a complete recording but only an incomplete copy has been put in circulation from 1stGen having only from Comfortably Numb till the end.

1981 February 17

setlist: the usual one

Waters on Run Like Hell: "Thank you. Do you like our pig? Oi! Leave him alone! Now you shouldn't have waved at him, it excites him. Home piggy. All right, all right, wait for it, we haven't started yet. I see you know when a clapping number comes. I'd like to dedicate this tune to all the androids in the audience. There's obviously quite a few out there tonight. It's called 'Run Like Hell.' You can all have a jolly good clap!"

recorders known: few ones (surely over 1)

recorders in circulation on CD: 1, untitled ; 1stGen copy

1981 February 18

setlist: the usual one

Waters on Run Like Hell: "Thank you, thank you. Do you like our pig? He doesn't seem to like you very much. Come on, piss off pig. We're not very keen on animals. The only good animal is a dead animal. In a minute we're going to play a number for all you asteroids in the audience. It's called Run Like Hell, and we can all clap our hands. It's gonna be fun"

recorders known: few ones (prolly over 2)

recorders in circulation on CD: 2,

recorder 1: complete; untitled ("Performed Live"), there are around several fan-remastered versions of this.

recorder 2: complete; 1stGen copy

to distinguish the 2 recorders is very easy:

- just mind that recorder 2 seems to have only the last part f the intro whereas on recorder 1 there's  a complete intro and someone near to the recorder claps as soon as the song starts

- also on recorder 2 it is audible some sorta reel-noise sometimes like someone filming (like at the very beginning of The Thin Ice, the beginning of DLMN  etc... )

1981 February 19

setlist: the usual one

Waters on Run Like Hell: "Thank you. Please don't try and touch the pig. Thank you. He's dangerous to some. Do you like our pig? Right, that's enough piggy. This next song is to divert all the hecklers, not that there seems to be many here this evening. It's called 'Run Like Hell.' You can all clap along, as soon as Dave is ready; we can all have a damn good clap. Woo! Get down, mmmm, disco, Woo, ha, ha"
Also Waters sings "Goodbye All You Whistlers" on Goodbye Cruel World

recorders known: few ones (surely over 3)

recorders in circulation on CD: 2;

recorder 1: the common recorder on the DR release "Tear Down The Walls", many copies have digital imperfections, spotless ones exist...

recorder 2: on fantapes, missing the MC intro at the beginning (there's actually a little piece of it); the first part of Nobody Home; the very very end of Outside The Wall, I'm not able to state if these missing pieces are on the actual master of this recorder too.

recorder 3: lately in circulation from a 1stGen copy of the master (taped by some USA taper as it seems)

1981 February 20

setlist: the usual one

Waters on Run Like Hell: "Thank you, thank you very much. Thank you. You're too kind. Do you like our pig? He doesn't seem to like some of you very much, but he's a funny pig. You know he's funny that way. He likes some people and he doesn't like others. Home piggy. This is a little disco tune that we can all clap our hands to (woo) and whistle. Hey, it's a fun time, any day now, it's called 'Run Like Hell' Ohhhh, let's enjoy ourselves! Get down! Mmmm."

recorders known: few ones (surely over 1)

recorders in circulation on CD: 1; truly good one! the once common version has many imperfections, some fantapes' sourced CDs are arising like this or this nice 2ndGen, or this recenly surfaced 1stGen, showing how good this recording actually is! Few Low Gens are in collectors' circuits as well . Also some LP always from this recorder have been released, like this double one transferred by Pinkrudy: "Wallive" RSR label
