1972 March 13: Atom of Sapporo

Nakanoshima Sports Center, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan

upadated April 2013

setlist: Dark Side Of The Moon / One Of These Days / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Echoes / Atom Heart Mother (?)

2 recorders are known for this gig:

recorder 1: missing Echoes this recorder has the best sound quality and is also the most bootlegged one, indeed several labels sold this recording in the old bootleg-days, the most famous versions are: "Cold Front" (AS 91PF001 Aphrodite Studio); "Dark Side" (MRL 004 - FABBRI EDITORI) which is missing Careful With That Axe Eugene; "Dark Side Of The Rising Sun"; verisons supposed from the master are arount too, also low generation tapes including more intermissions like this

recorder 2: complete, or at least having Echoes also, this is around from a nice 3rd generation tape and on the bootleg "Cold Side Of The Bow" only so far.

recorder 3?: Atom Heart Mother only, archives don't report any other song played that evening, although there's the "Missing Pieces" (Sigma) bootleg having this song with this date, assuming it's really from a Japanese date (I haven't compared it with other concerts from other continents) this doesn't fit the other known Atom Heart Mother played in Japan, MIND that on the bootleg "Cold Side Of The Bow" there is an AHM track as last-encore but it fits the performance of march 8; so the one on "Missing Pieces" should be genuine, the song seems to start with the official recording play backed on stage.
